Brian Markinson was born in 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1983. He moved to Vancouver, Canada, where he established himself as a profoundly talented and prolific character actor in both film and television.
Markinson is known for "Charlie Wilson's War" (2007), "Shooter" (2007) and "City of Angels" (1998).
He was credited as a guest star in Caprica's pilot episode. When Caprica was picked up, his role was expanded to series regular.
